Project Overview
Rugby Police Station is a 24/7 operational facility, which meant every stage of this project had to be planned and executed with minimal disruption to live police operations. Working across four floors, our team carried out a full decommission of the existing Panasonic VRF infrastructure — 96 indoor units in total — before installing advanced Mitsubishi Electric Hybrid VRF systems throughout.
In the basement, six single split wall-mounted units were replaced with new Mitsubishi Electric systems, and a brand-new VRF system was designed and installed in an area of the building that had never previously had air conditioning. The entire site was brought together under a single centralised Mitsubishi Electric controller, giving the station’s facilities team full visibility and management of all systems from one interface.
Delivered on time, in a live operational environment
Precision planning for a critical public sector facility
Completing a project of this scale inside an active police station required careful scheduling, close communication with the client, and a team experienced in working within sensitive, operational buildings. Every area was commissioned and signed off on programme, and upon completion the station reported improved comfort and energy efficiency across the building — a result we’re proud to have delivered.
